Ferraro represented Fortune 500 corporations and other companies in employment and business lawsuits, gaining valuable experience and knowledge that he now uses to help his clients get winning results.  He is an experienced employment law attorney who frequently publishes and speaks on labor and employment issues.  Mr. Ferraro’s mission is to help his clients get the compensation and damages they are entitled to when their employers break California and federal employment and labor laws.

Nicholas J. Ferraro, Esq. is the founder of Ferraro Employment Law and is based in San Diego, California.  He is admired and respected by lawyers and clients alike and takes a principled and reasoned approach to advancing the interests of his clients.  Mr. Ferraro started his firm with the belief that California employees and contractors deserve the best possible legal representation when employers break employment and labor laws.  Honest work requires fair pay and decent treatment under the law and Mr. Ferraro prides himself on helping individuals get the justice and compensation they deserve.

Mr. Ferraro’s practice focuses on unpaid wage claims and employer misconduct issues.  He represents employees who are terminated, demoted or treated unfairly as a result of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, whistleblowing or for some other unlawful reason.  He represents workers in individual and class action wage and hour cases, including those for unpaid wages, overtime, bonuses and commissions, misclassification of employees as “exempt” or as a 1099 contractor, deficient meal and rest periods, unlawful deductions and other unfair wage practices.  He is a successful and experienced California employment lawyer who represents workers in all areas of employment law.

BACKGROUND & EDUCATION

Nicholas was born in Trail, British Columbia, where he grew up skiing, playing hockey and playing baseball.  He attended Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington on an academic scholarship and graduated cum laude.  Today, he is the Treasurer and Secretary of the Gonzaga Alumni Association in San Diego.

After graduation, Nicholas attended the University of San Diego School of Law, where he was a member of the San Diego Law Review, an editor of California Business Practice and a judicial extern for a federal judge in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California.

EXPERIENCE ON BOTH SIDES OF THE TABLE

Before founding Ferraro Employment Law, Mr. Ferraro worked as an associate attorney at the national law firms of Duane Morris and Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani, where he learned how to win cases and get results for his clients.  He represented Fortune 500 corporations and other companies in a wide range of complex labor and employment, business litigation and class action matters.  Mr. Ferraro now uses his skills and experience to represent employees, executives, contractors, freelancers and salespeople in employment disputes.
